QPR 0-3 Sheffield United

QPR were dumped out of the FA Cup by League One outfit Sheffield United.

Marc McNulty's opener and a Jamal Campbell-Ryce brace saw the Blades stun Harry Redknapp’s Hoops with a deserved 3-0 win at Loftus Road.

Nigel Clough’s men shocked Fulham and Aston Villa on their way to the semi-final last time out and have already beaten top-flight West Ham and Southampton in the Capital One Cup this season.

Opener: Marc McNulty put the Blades ahead before the break

United continued that trend with an impressive victory in W12 as the R’s lost on home soil for the first time since October.

The Blades cut open QPR’s defence on 36 minutes when Louis Reed’s perfectly-weighted pass played in McNulty, who slotted the ball into the back of the net off Alex McCarthy.

QPR struggled to find any rhythm and top scorer Charlie Austin was isolated in attack as the visitors were good value for their half-time lead.

Redknapp responded by hauling off the ineffective Junior Hoilett, with Bobby Zamora brought on to partner Austin up front.

Tussle: Steven Scougall battles for the ball with Rio Ferdinand

However, Rangers’ play-off final hero had barely been on the pitch a matter of minutes when the home side were left with a mountain to climb.

Reed’s corner was completely missed by McCarthy and hit Jordon Mutch, with Campbell-Ryce pouncing on the loose ball to double the visitors’ advantage.

QPR brought on Eduardo Vargas as they desperately tried to get back into the game, but the Blades added a third in stoppage-time when Campbell-Ryce jinked his way through before picking his spot.

QPR: McCarthy, Onuoha, Caulker (Isla 61), Ferdinand, Traore, Henry (Vargas 61), Mutch, Hoilett (Zamora 45), Fer, Phillips, Austin.
