Nedum Onuoha scored a last minute winner to give QPR a victory at Reading after what was, largely, a turgid performance from the Hoops.

The Royals caused problems down the right flank early on with Gareth McCleary drawing three fouls in similar positions.

Oliver Norwood's delivery led to panic in the Rangers defence, with Michael Hector heading wide when he had a free sight of goal, but the visitors survived.

Indeed, the first half was not much to write home about as both sides probed without displaying any cutting edge.

Nedum Onuoha went close for Rangers in the final 15 minutes but he headed over from six yards with the goal gaping.

Reading went straight down the other end and Hal Robson-Kanu, just on as a substitute, fired wide when well-placed to strike.

But, with time ticking down, Alejandro Faurlin's corner was headed home by Onuoha although Royals goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi should have done much better with the attempt, letting it slip through his grasp.
