QPR 0-0 Blackburn Rovers

QPR were forced to settle for a share of the points after being held to a goalless draw by Blackburn.

Rangers missed out on the chance to go top of the table following Leicester's loss at Brighton, with Charlie's Austin's header that hit the post the closest they came.

Harry Redknapp made one change from the side that beat Bournemouth in midweek, with Matt Phillips replacing Gary O'Neil in the starting XI.

Blacklburn almost broke the deadlock on seven minutes, but Clint Hill was in the right place to clear Jason Lowe's header off the line.

The hosts struggled to get into the game, with Chris Taylor squandering a good chance for Rovers just before the break when he headed over from seven yards.

Jordan Rhodes was inches away from giving the visitors the lead in first-half stoppage-time, but his glancing header went the wrong side of the post.

QPR improved in the second half and should've gone in front just before the hour mark.

Andy Johnson broke down the left and picked out Phillips six yards out, but the former Blackpool man was denied by Simon Eastwood in the Blackburn goal.

Redknapp threw on Niko Kranjcar and O'Neil as Rangers tried to make a breakthrough.

The woodwork came to Rovers' rescue on 70 minutes when Benoit Assou-Ekotto's cross was headed goalwards by Austin, only to see it bounce back off the post.

Blackburn threatened on the break, Rob Green saving from Taylor, while at the other end, Austin glanced a header wide.

But neither side could find a goal as honours ended even at Loftus Road.
