Rotherham 2-1 Brentford

Brentford came back from Rotherham with nothing after a poor defensive display.

Matt Derbyshire gave the Millers the lead after a mistake from Jack O'Connell lost the ball on the edge of the area.

Alan Judge equalised after Lee Frecklington was harshly adjudged to have fouled Sergi Canos in the penalty area. The Irishman missed with his original penalty but scored the rebound.

However, the Bees failed to clear a corner and Danny Ward lashed the ball home to give Rotherham the win.

Roared on by a partisan crowd appealing for absolutely everything, the Millers made the brighter start and put Brentford on the back foot.

Jake Bidwell, on his 200th appearance for the club, struggled with O'Connell faring little better and it was the latter at fault for the opener.

He lost the ball on the edge of the box and allowed Frecklington to cross the ball in, which was originally blocked by Dean.

The forward benefitted with the rebound and Derbyshire found the bottom corner.

Brentford were fortunate to be level when Frecklington fairly challenged Canos in the area but referee Mark Brown deemed it to be a foul.

Judge's weak penalty was saved by Camp but the Irishman slotted home the rebound to make it all square at the break.

Rotherham pushed forward in the second half and the Bees' rearguard gave way as they failed to clear a corner and Ward fired home.

John Swift and Philipp Hofmann both had chances cleared off the line soon after as the Millers held out to claim the win.
