London Tigers grabbed all three points in a five-goal thriller against 10-man Colney Heath on saturday.

Terry Whiteman, Stavros Panagiotou and Hesham Benmasour got the goals to seal a 3-2 win in this Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division encounter.

The hosts had a man sent off in the 15th minute but they battled well to see out a goalless first half.

Tigers broke the deadlock early in the second period as Ali Soussi found space down the right before crossing for Whitman to drive the ball home.

Colney levelled in the 77th minute as a corner fell to Josh Humbert at the far post who crossed invitingly for Aaron Clarke to head in.

In an exciting closing five minutes, the visitors went back in front after Soussi’s corner was met by an unstoppable header from Panagiotou.

And from the kick-off, Tigers extended their advantage as Sebastian Philogene’s cross was deflected goalwards by Benmasour.

In stoppage time, Clarke grabbed his and Colney's second as a short-corner fell to him to drive in from 25 yards but the visitors held on.

Tigers remain 19th in the table ahead of hosting second-placed Kings Langley on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the division, Charles Conner scored as Hillingdon Borough drew 1-1 at Hertford Town.

Borough are back in action tomorrow night when they host Wodson Park in the Challenge Trophy second round.

Harefield United, who visit Oxhey Jets on Saturday, lost 2-0 at home to St Margaretsbury with Brett O’Connor and Danny Bennell on target for the visitors.

Wembley went down by the same scoeline to Tring Athletic courtesy of goals either side of the break from Chris Salmon and Taylor Collins and they host Cockfosters On Saturday.

In Division One, Edgware Town lost 6-2 at Crawley Green where Benjamin Hayford and Martyn Westcott found the net for the visitors.

Town will be aiming to reach the Middlesex Premier Cup semi-final when they travel to CB Hounslow United on Wednesday night.

Southall’s match at home to Welwyn Garden City was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and they will hope for better weather before their trip to Bedford at the weekend.

Ealing Town beat Kent Athletic 1-0 in their Division Two match with a second-half winner from Omar Mouajal and will aim tio maintain that winning form when they travel to Mursley United on Saturday.
