Hayes & Yeading United 2-0 Bath City

Hayes & Yeading United sealed Conference South survival with a 2-0 victory over Bath City on Saturday.

Dean Inman and a bizarre goal from close to the halfway line from Greg Morgan, who was named man of the match after a fine performance, added three more points to the tally while Farnborough were beaten 3-1 at home by Chelmsford City.

It means Spencer Day’s side will join Staines Town in slipping through the trapdoor and Tristan Lewis can enjoy the club’s final fixtures with Concord Rangers and St Albans City under no pressure.

The result caps off a monumental week for Hayes & Yeading off the field as chairman Tony O’Driscoll secured the £300,000 funding needed to keep the club alive next season.
