Hampton & Richmond Borough 4-3 Bognor Regis Town

Hat-trick hero Charlie Moone put the Bognor Regis Town defence to the sword on Tuesday night in a thrilling clash at the Beveree.

Moone’s three-goal blast followed Dave Tarpey’s stunning early opener to give Boro a 4-3 win and end Bognor’s challenge for the Ryman Premier title.

Tarpey opened the scoring with the game just two minutes old and the Beavers were placed firmly in the driving seat when Moone hammered home a penalty.

Leading by two at half-time, the Rooks rallied at the start of the second period and pulled one back through Scott Chamberlain.

But Moone was in the mood, netting another penalty and going on to complete his third hat-trick of the campaign to put the result beyond doubt.

Bognor, desperate to keep their title dream alive, struck twice more to narrow the deficit. However, the Beavers held on to the delight of nearly 350 supporters.
