Ramires and Willian came off the bench to rescue Chelsea from defeat at Newcastle United.

The Brazilian duo watched from the dugout as the Magpies took a two-goal lead and looked on course to pick up their first Premier League victory of the campaign.

Ayoze Perez broke the deadlock after some sloppy Kurt Zouma defending and showed good composure to finish beyond Asmir Begovic.

And when Georginio Wijnaldum doubled the advantage it looked as though the points were secure.

However, Chelsea had other ideas and Ramires’ introduction provided the catalyst for the comeback at St James’ Park.

His stunning strike halved the deficit before Willian’s free-kick evaded absolutely everyone in the box and hauled them level.

Pedro could’ve won it for the champions but he blazed over late on.
