Wigan Athletic 3–3 Fulham

It was raining goals and red cards at the DW Stadium this afternoon as Wigan and Fulham shared the spoils in a highly entertaining game.

Hugo Rodallega had the ball in the back of his former club's net as early as the second minute, but he was adjudged to be offside, and six minutes later Wigan were ahead when Callum McManaman was caught by Kostas Stafylidis in the area, and Adam Forshaw calmly rolled the penalty home.

Fulham were level on the half hour mark when Lasse Vigen Christensen latched onto Scott Parker's through ball to finish into the bottom right corner from just inside the box, and the Whites were soon ahead with a second goal in six minutes as Ross McCormack teed up Bryan Ruiz to finish from close range.

But Wigan came out fighting after the break, peppering the Fulham goal with efforts, and they were level within 10 minutes of the restart when Leon Barnett flicked on for Roger Espinoza to slot into the bottom right corner from outside the box.

Fulham were reduced by a man with 13 minutes remaining when McCormack was shown a second yellow, and it took only five minutes for the 10 men to fall behind again, Shaun Maloney putting the hosts 3-2 ahead after being put in by Espinoza,

However, the numbers were level three minutes later when Barnett was sent off for bringing down Rodallega in the area, and the scores were levelled too when Ruiz converted from the spot.

Nikolay Boudrov fired over deep into injury time as Fulham pushed for a winner, but a breath-taking encounter finished all square.
