Wolves 3-0 Fulham
Fulham slid closer to the relegation places in the Championship on a night to forget.
In chilly January at Molineux they snowballed their way into the fourth round of the FA Cup. This time a first-half avalanche buried them.
The Whites clean sheet was muddied as early as the 10th minute from Wolves' first corner, when a poorly marked Danny Baath headed home at the near post from a corner.
The most active Fulham player was Marcus Bettinelli who chased referee Graham Salisbury to remonstrate with the official, presumably because the keeper felt he was impeded in the six-yard scrum.
Seko Fofana then went on a one-man mission to rescue the deficit with a series of shots - the last on 30 minutes tested Tomasz Kuszczak, but a minute later Ross McCormack wasted the best chance when he fired straight at the keeper.
That wasn't the worst of it. Bakary Sako, once a Fulham target, was invited to stride forward and as the defence backed off, the Wolves striker arrowed into the corner from outside the box.
Then Bettinelli, deserving of the praise he gets from his boss, made the kind of mistake Kit Symons also predicted from his young keeper.
A mere 10 seconds from the break, the rampaging Sako again let go with a left foot shot, and this time the effort crept under Bettinelli's legs and arm.
Lasse Christensen did his best to arrest the arrears halfway through the second half as Kuszczak flapped, but the Dane's effort got blocked on the line. Bettinelli then recovered from his gaffe to deny Benik Afobe straight after. Bryan Ruiz was in the right place to deny a chance on the line.
Sub Sean Kavanagh then made sure Kuszczak was kept busy with a shot saved at the keeper's near post - but this was a poor showing by a too deliberate Fulham who surrendered midfield and displayed all the cutting edge of a butter knife in attack
