Moussa Dembele’s brace led Fulham to a remarkable eight minute comeback at Craven Cottage as they overcame a two goal deficit to beat Reading.

The French forward scored twice and set up a goal as the Whites came bouncing back in emphatic fashion from their poor start to the game.

Ross McCormack and Alexander Kacaniklic also scored in Fulham’s first win in five games, which will alleviate the pressure on Whites manager Kit Symons.

But things went awry from the start for the hosts, with Reading’s fluid and interchanging attack causing them nightmares.

The visitors took an early lead through Lucas Piazon, with the Brazilian capping off a move worthy of his national team.

Orlando Sa and Matej Vydra played a one-two on the counter attack, before the latter slid the ball to Piazon, who had the freedom of the penalty area and tapped the ball beyond Joe Lewis.

Sa, Vydra and Piazon were causing Fulham all sorts of problems, and Reading might have extended their lead when Lewis was forced into a smart save from the in-form Nick Blackman.

The Whites dominated the closing exchanges of the half, and started as they ended the first, applying all the pressure.

But a sloppy mistake gifted the ball to former Fulham man Sa, who stormed past Tim Ream and fired into the far corner.

The Craven Cottage faithful had barely settled from the shock of seeing their former flop put them to the sword, when McCormack slotted home.

Picking up the ball from 18 yards, the forward swivelled and fired an effort into the corner in one movement, leaving Ali Al-Habsi with no chance.

And the Whites then stunned the visitors with a rapid equaliser. Lasse Vigen Christensen received the ball on the right, and whipped in a low ball which Frenchman Moussa Dembele bundled home.

Before Steve Clarke’s men could blink, they were 3-2 behind. Dembele and Alexander Kacaniklic broke away and the French forward played in the latter to slide home.

And Dembele wrapped up the win for Fulham after the hosts’ best move of the game.

The 19-year-old won the ball on the edge of the Reading box and played it to McCormack - who backheeled the return pass to his strike partner, and he made no mistake from just inside the box.

And it may have been five when McCormack lobbed the ball over Al-Habsi but was denied by a goal line clearance from Paul McShane.

Nick Blackman and Sa both had chances for the visitors but Fulham negated any real risk of conceding and saw out the game in comfortable fashion.
