Blackpool 1–2 Brentford

A brilliant second half winner from Stuart Dallas earned Brentford their first Championship win at Blackpool this evening.

Dallas was back in the starting line up at Bloomfield Road for Marcos Tebar, while Nick Proschwitz came in for the injured Andre Gray, as Bees boss Mark Warburton reshuffled his pack.

The hosts had first sight of goal when Ishmael Miller's shot was blocked by Tony Craig following a mistake by James Tarkowski, while at the other end, home keeper Joe Lewis got to a Jonathan Douglas through ball just ahead of Proschwitz.

But it was Blackpool who took the lead on 14 minutes when Nathan Delfouneso was allowed to get a free header on a cross from the left which crept past David Button's despairing dive and into the far corner.

However, the Bees drew level 10 minutes before the interval when, following some good work on the right by Moses Odubajo, Alex Pritchard unleashed an effort from the edge of the area which found its way in at the far corner.

Goal: Blackpool's Peter Clarke is unable to get to Dallas's winner on the line

Button dived bravely at the feet of Miller on the edge of his area soon after, while on the stroke of half time, a brilliant challenge by Craig on the same player almost certainly prevented a goal.

For the first time in their fledgling Championship campaign, Brentford were in front 10 minutes into the second half when Dallas cut in from the left and arrowed his shot superbly into the far top corner from the edge of the area.

Blackpool looked certain to equalise in the dying minutes when sub Elliot Parish found himself in space on the right edge of the box, but Button got down superbly to make a fine stop.

There were a few more hairy moments for the Bees, not least in the four minutes of added time which appeared to be double that, but the points went safely back to west London.
