COMBINED COUNTIES PREMIER

WEMBLEY 2-0 ASH UNITED

WEMBLEY moved up to eighth in the Combined Counties Premier with three points against Ash United on Saturday.

It was the Lions’ first game of the year following the festive period and two quality goals proved the difference on the day at Vale Farm.

The deadlock was broken late on in the first-half when Alex Mokeni-Kane and Yassine Fehmi-Gil unlocked the Ash defence and Tobi Oluberode smashed home the opener.

A sluggish start from the hosts threatened to allow United into the game, however Ian Bates’ men woke up on the hour.

Joe Wright's teasing cross was taken down by Fehmi-Gil and the Lions star got inside his marker before blasting home the killer second.

Meanwhile, Wembley’s Premier Challenge Cup third round clash with Chessington Hook was postponed on Tuesday evening.
