Tammy Abraham, on loan at Bristol City from Chelsea, scored a late winner to knock Fulham out of the EFL Cup.

The Whites were made to pay for not being out of sight in a dominant first half and fellow Blues loanee Lucas Piazon's opening goal was cancelled out by Aaron Wilbraham before half-time.

Cauley Woodrow saw a second half penalty saved and Wilbraham fired wide from eight yards before Abraham decided matters.

Slavisa Jokanovic made 11 changes for the cup tie for the second time this season, the first coming in the opening round at Leyton Orient.

And the young Whites made an excellent start with Piazon heading them into the lead on 14 minutes.

Scott Malone and Woodrow came close to doubling the lead in the first half but the Robins hit back before half-time against the run of play as the home defence parted like the Red Sea to allow Aaron Wilbraham to equalise.

Fulham should have restored the lead after half-time when Woodrow was tripped in the box but Ivan Lucic saved his penalty.

Jesse Joronen was lucky to stay on the pitch moments later as he committed a foul right on the edge of the area but was only shown a yellow card.

The Robins started to dominate and Wilbraham missed from eight yards but Abraham, who showed his class the second he came on the pitch, scored a 90th minute winner to knock Fulham out.
