Fulham went down 2-1 to Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium thanks to goals from Stephen Warnock and Lucas Akins, despite Oliver Norwood's stunning strike getting them back into the game.

Slavisa Jokanovic named an unchanged side from the one that beat Hull City 2-1 in midweek, but the big news came in the form that Rui Fonte found a place on the bench after injury, in place of Aboubakar Kamara.

Fulham started well but it was Burton who took the lead when Sean Scannell found himself in behind the defence before pulling his cross back, which was originally cut out by Oliver Norwood but it fell to Warnock who tapped the ball home.

But it was Norwood who got Fulham level when he struck the ball from 25-yards out which found the bottom corner of the Burton goal to drag the side level in the 32nd minute.

However, Burton got the lead again when Akins put away a penalty at the start of the second half, which Button nearly got a hand to but it nestled in the back of the net.

Here's how we rated the side:

Button 7 - Looked commanding in his area and made a fantastic fingertip save to deny Burton a second goal. Was unlucky not to stop the Burton penalty but overall another good game from the keeper.

Fredericks 7 - Was one of the better performers in the side today and looked a threat down the right when he got the ball. Was unlucky not to get himself a goal, but Warnock's block put pay to that.

Kalas 6 - Dealt with the aerial side of the game well but the communication required to deal with Burton's runs in behind was lacking today. Looked strong defensively when attacked one-on-one.

Ream 6 - Struggled to contain Scannell's moves in behind the defence, which is where the first Burton goal came courtesy of. Looked better in the second half as Burton sat deeper.

Sessegnon 6 - Again, not a great defensive performance at left back but his crosses into the Burton box were dangerous time and time again and his team mates really should've put more of them to bed.

McDonald 6 - Sat deep in the first half and looked to build Fulham's attack, but started to delve further forward into the Burton area, letting Norwood take over defensive duties. Not a game to remember for McDonald but solid nonetheless.

Johansen 6 - Didn't have the same impact as he did on Wednesday night but looked to build Fulham's attacks through the second half.

Norwood 6 - Will be disappointed he got the final touch in the build up to the Burton goal, although there was nothing he could do but got Fulham level with a fantastic 20-yard strike. Didn't have a great second half and was replaced by Graham with ten left.

Kebano 6 - Didn't have the best of the games at Burton but tried time and time again to attack his marker. Started the game off well but faded towards the end and was replaced by Fonte with just over 20 left.

Ayite 5 - Had a decent first half but struggled with the physicality of the Burton defence, struggled to put in any meaningful balls when he was moved out to the wide.

Ojo 5 - Looked good down the right with his pace and trickery in the first half but he won't want to watch his head-in-hands miss in the second half. Was running into avenues but they turned out to be dead-ends more often than not.

Subs:

Fonte 6 - Looked handy when he came on but couldn't in behind a Burton defence who were sitting deeper and deeper as the second half progressed.

Graham 6 - Didn't get into the game for the time he was on, with his balls into the box not being the quality that were required. Looked handy, however, and cause problems down the left.
