Brentford pick up a point at Ipswich as Sawyers and Yennaris shine but there's a worry for Bjelland

Brentford moved another point towards guaranteeing Championship football next season as they drew 1-1 at Ipswich.

The Bees, who had won their last two games, found it tough going against a physical Mick McCarthy side.

The visitors found themselves a goal down when Emyr Huws was given the freedom of the penalty area to slot home.

However, Romaine Sawyers played in Nico Yennaris just before the break to level the scores.

Brentford were marginally the better side in the second half with Sergi Canos having his shot partially saved by Bartosz Bialkowski and then cleared off the line by Myles Kenlock.

It was the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock in the second half, which saw a lot of huff and puff, but very little goalmouth action.

There was a blow for Brentford as Andreas Bjelland was forced off with an injury early in the second half. Yoann Barbet came on for his first appearance since the 4-0 loss at Chelsea and faces a battle with Harlee Dean to face Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
