Brentford 2–2 Millwall
Brentford pulled off their second stunning comeback in four days this afternoon – but will be less happy with the circumstances this time.
On Tuesday night, a stirring second half fightback saw the Bees turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win at Blackburn Rovers.
However, Mark Warburton's men today had to claw their way back from 2-0 down to relegation-battling Millwall to grab a 2-2 draw thanks to Moses Odubajo's last minute leveller.
It was harsh on a Millwall side who had battled well throughout, but a relief for Brentford that they don't go into the international break on the back of successive home defeats.
For all Brentford's early pressure, David Button was the busier of the two keepers, saving twice from Martyn Woolford early on, but Jota came closest to opening the scoring when his header from an Alex Pritchard cross came back off the bar.
However, it was the visitors who took the lead on the half hour mark when James Tarkowski failed to deal with a long ball forward and Button was caught in no man's land as Lee Gregory rounded him before finishing with style.
Stuart Dallas came within inches of getting Brentford back into the game with a sublime curling effort from the edge of the area which David Forde has to be at full stretch to tip over, while the Lions keeper again had to be at his best to keep out Jonathan Douglas' header from a Jota cross in first half injury time.
Just after the hour mark the visitors doubled their lead when, with the Bees back four caught napping again, Woolford was allowed to get to the byline and cross for O'Brien to nod in unchallenged at the far post from about a yard out.
There was a glimmer of hope for the Bees when sub Alan Judge was sent sprawling in the box by Jos Hooiveld with six minutes remaining, and Pritchard confidently dispatched the spot kick.
And Odubajo lifted the roof off Griffin Park with an equaliser three minutes into stoppage time, finishing coolly from inside the area to snatch a point.
