Hello and welcome to GetWestLondon's live coverage of Aston Villa vs Brentford.

We will be with you throughout the afternoon, bringing you updates from Villa Park with the Bees looking to pick up their first win of the season and their maiden victory in B6.

It has been a frustrating start to the season for the west Londoners, picking up just two points from their first five games, although performances have been much better than the results.

Villa, though, have picked up just one league win so far this season as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the second attempt.

Many teams would have capitulated going somewhere like Villa Park a week after losing three first team players. Brentford, instead, showed great character, spirit and determination, and could easily have nicked it.
