Ade Akinfenwa poached a late winner as AFC Wimbledon came from behind to beat Notts County in a breathless finale.

'The Beast' struck with a minute of normal time left just four minutes after Danny Bulman's close range finish at the far post began a dramatic late turnaround which extends the Wombles' unbeaten league run to five.

Dons had trailed from the 16th minute when Haydn Hollis' header from Adam Campbell's free-kick looped beyond James Shea.

Campbell might have made it 2-0 with a cross-shot wide, but Carroll then preserved the visitors' lead with a world-class stop from Akinfenwa's downward header.

Izale McLeod should have given County breathing space after the break, but headed Campbell's delicious cross over and the miss proved crucial as Dons at last came to life to mount the late fight-back.

Jon Meades had a shot blocked and George Francombe's drive was parried to safety.

However, the pressure told when Francombe's ball in from the right was flicked on by substitute Sean Rigg and Bulman arrived on cue to finish at the far post.

But Neal Ardley's men were not prepared to settle for that and when they worked another ball out on the right with a minute left on the clock, substitute Azeez fired it across and Akinfenwa did the rest to send the home fans into raptures.
