Yoann Barbet believes Brentford need that little element of luck in order to go on a winning run.

The Bees have, arguably, deserved to win all three games so far this season but only have one point due to defensive slip-ups or missing chances.

And the Frenchman believes that they need a few breaks to go Brentford's way and the wins will come.

He said: "We just need a bit of luck as I think they had one shot in the first half and they scored from my mistake.

"On Tuesday, it was a goal because we have been struggling. We have to stay focused on the basics and I'm sure we'll get wins."

Barbet is expecting a tough encounter when Brentford travel to Ipswich, who do have nine points from a possible nine but the Frenchman believes if the Bees replicate their performance against Bristol City they will return from Suffolk with three points.

"We have one point though so it is what it is. We have to work hard to go as high as possible," he added.

"Every game is tough. We know in the Championship, it will be a hard game. We are confident as, if we play like this, we will surely win."
