QPR midfielder Yeni Ngbakoto has broken his silence after failing to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.

The 25-year-old just missed on a place in the showpiece event after finishing just one point behind group A winners Tunisia, but the attacking midfielder says that 'the best is yet to come'.

Speaking on Instagram, he posted: "Very close to the dream, only one point difference and going out with 13 points is very frustrating. I'm proud of my country, proud of my team-mates, the fans and all the congolese people.

"What we've done is big and it's not finished! The best is yet to come and we can back everything in the hands of God.

"Congratulations to Tunisia and to the other African nations qualified for the Worlc Cup. My heart is with you to represent our continent."
