Fulham midfielder Ashkan Dejagah has called on his Iranian teammates to make sure they score the vital goals they need in their attempt to qualify for the last 16 of the World Cup tonight.

Iran have gone toe-to-toe with the world's best, and now they want to seal a shock by beating Bosnia & Herzegovina and qualifying for the knockout stages.

They need to win against the side bottom of Group F and hope that the result of the other match between Argentina and Nigeria goes their way.

Carlos Queiroz's men are the only team so far not to have scored in the tournament but took the fight to Argentina in Belo Horizonte on Saturday, only to be denied a deserved point by a stunning stoppage-time intervention from Lionel Messi.

Another brilliant defensive performance from the Iranians had left them just minutes away from their second clean sheet in two Group F games, and Dejagah now wants his side to come forward and score the vital goals that could make history by sending them through.

"We'll definitely be going for goals and we still have a chance to go through, I'm sure of that," he said.

"What we need to do is take the good things we've done so far, improve a little bit in other areas and give everything to beat Bosnia. If we do that - and I think it's a game we can win - we can still qualify."

Dejagah himself had a wonderful headed chance to put Iran into a surprise lead against Argentina, only for stopper Sergio Romero to make a decisive intervention.

"I actually thought I'd scored in the game against Argentina - that header I had, I thought it was in for sure. But again, you have to applaud their keeper for a really fantastic save. I think a goal will come for us though.

We definitely have players who can score and I think we were more dangerous in our second game compared to our first."
