Paul Lambert was a happy man come 5pm on Saturday afternoon.

He had just seen his side win their third straight game to move even further clear of the Championship relegation zone.

And, not only that, but he did it against one of the best teams in the league, too.

At least that was his opinion.

Fulham are seventh in the table, although defeat meant they missed out on the chance to move into the top six.

But as Lambert lauded his Wolves stars, he also found time to make a special mention to the way the Cottagers play.

He said after watching his team claim a deserved 3-1 win: "On Tuesday [against Brentford] I thought we were exceptional, but here we surpassed that against, in my opinion, the best footballing side in the league."

High praise indeed.
