Dean Smith has rung the changes for Brentford's Carabao Cup second round tie at Queens Park Rangers.

The Bees have changed five players from the 2-0 loss at Ipswich on Saturday and West Ham and Leeds targets Jota and Harlee Dean are not in the starting XI or the wider squad. Chris Mepham is the defender available to Dean Smith on the bench.

Luke Daniels comes into the side after starting at AFC Wimbledon in the first round.

The Brentford head coach has shuffled his entire defence with Maxime Colin moving from left back to right back, while Ilias Chatzitheodoridis coming in on the left.

Andreas Bjelland and John Egan replaced Yoann Barbet and Dean respectively.

Smith keeps faith with the midfield at Ipswich, while Josh Clarke comes in on the wing in place of the rested Ollie Watkins.

Lasse Vibe is given the evening off after taking a knock to his heel at Portman Road on Saturday. Neal Maupay starts once again.

Ryan Woods is on the bench after missing the last three games due to compassionate leave.

Brentford: Daniels, Colin, Egan, Bjelland, Chatzitheodoridis, Yennaris, Mokotjo, Sawyers, Clarke, Maupay, Jozefzoon.

Substitutes: Bentley, Watkins, Dalsgaard, Archibald, Shaibu, Mepham.
