QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond expressed his delight as the west London side edged nearer to securing a play-off spot after a 5-2 over play-off chasing Nottingham Forest - but warned the job is not done yet.

One more win should do it for the Rs after this much-need victory over the Reds, with late goals from Nedum Onuoha, Ravel Morrison and Bobby Zamora putting an emphatic gloss on the scoreline.

He said: “We’re delighted to have got the win that we needed. Hopefully it’ll go a long way to securing a play-off spot and what we’re looking to do is go into them with a bit of momentum, so to score that many goals was very pleasing.

“We’re not there yet though, you can’t take anything for granted in football. We need to secure a play-off spot, that’s the most important thing.

“You need everybody fit and fresh but you need to go in there confident so it means that you can’t take liberties with the games that you play and the teams that you pick, so it’s a difficult one. The manager will need to balance all that out.”

Bond was quick to lavish praise on substitute Bobby Zamora who scored and set up one in a dramatic 15-minute cameo from the 33-year-old and his team.

“Bobby made the difference for us when he came on,” Bond admitted.

“Charlie got very tired but I thought he did terrific too. And then Ravel produced a fantastic goal - it’s what he can produce.

“Nedum deserves credit too, on the back of a week when he’s had an addition to the family, he took his goal well. We're delighted for him."
