Wealdstone are hoping to clinch the Ryman Premier title this weekend at Metropolitan Police.

The Stones can secure Conference South football for next season if they win at Imber Court and several other results go their way on Saturday.

Should Bartlett’s boys pick up three points, Hendon defeat Hornchurch, Margate beat Bognor and Lowestoft drop points at Hampton & Richmond, the crown will go to Grosvenor Vale.

Wealdstone, led by the league’s manager of the month for March, have gone unbeaten for months and it is a case of when, not if, they can wrap up the league title.

Bartlett will want the job done as soon as possible, although they will have to do it without Scott McGleish after the veteran striker was injured against Billericay on Monday.

They proved they can manage without him in East Thurrock on Thursday though, cruising to a 3-0 win to edge ever closer to sealing the deal.

Met Police head into the game on a dreadful run of one win in seven and it’s a match that Wealdstone will expect to win, despite their hectic league schedule.

However, Saturday’s hosts halted a run of five straight Wealdstone victories in the reverse fixture at The Vale back in December to give them hope of a repeat tomorrow.
