Wealdstone will have more freedom to enjoy themselves when they face Farnborough on Saturday after mathematically securing survival but manager Gordon Bartlett will not let standards slip.

The Stones travel to a Borough side who are stuck in the relegation mire but the manager is only focused on eking out the best performance from his charges.

He said: “It's given us the mathematical freedom of knowing we're in the Conference South next year so that's good.

“Now we know that the sides in the bottom three can't catch us we can enjoy the last four games and get to that 50 points.

“I'm not going to worry about who we're playing and we've tried not to do that all along and we keep setting new targets and something we said a while ago is we want to win more games than we lose. We can turn the corner on Saturday.

“Can we have a positive goal difference? We can do that. Can we get 50 points? We can do that.

“We're not going to allow the season to peter out just because we're safe. We'd like to win our remaining games this season. Whatever the result on Saturday, we'll look at new things Monday.”
