Wealdstone boss Gordon Bartlett is looking forward to Wealdstone's meeting with Gosport Borough tonight.

The Stones have lost their last two games against Bishop's Stortford and Havant & Waterlooville, while Boro remain challengers for the Conference South play-offs.

But the manager is hoping a Monday night contest at the Grosvenor Vale will inspire the crowd and his team.

He said: “We do like a Monday night at the Vale. We've created some great results and the atmosphere down there has been fantastic and it'd be nice to rekindle that and get that feel-good factor back.

“After 15 games with one defeat and perform like we did against Bishop's Stortford the feeling of disappointment. We need to get the euphoria back and we can do that on Monday night.”

Bartlett is, of course, aware of the dangers Gosport can pose to his side and is looking for an improved performance from the Stones.

He added: “They're a side going for the play-offs. They've had a difficult spell but we need the supporters there and we've got to give a better home performance. We all need to pull together and get a home win.”
