There’s not many players who fancy their chances at going toe-to-toe with Chelsea’s Diego Costa but AFC Wimbledon powerhouse Bayo Akinfenwa isn’t your average footballer.

Akinfenwa has retained his title as FIFA 16’s strongest player after pipping muscular Chris Samba and Manchester City frontman Wilfried Bony to the crown again this year.

He attended the UK launch of the popular video game last night and showed he’s got skills with a control pad as well as on the pitch by taking part in EA Sports’s Celebrity Cup tournament.

Costa hasn’t been able to keep out of the headlines this week after his antics in Arsenal earned him an FA charge for violent conduct after his clash with Gunners defenders Gabriel and Laurent Koscielny.

But that hasn’t put big Akinfenwa, nicknamed the Beast for his sizeable frame, and the Dons forward reckons his Premier League counterpart wouldn’t stand a chance if they came to blows.

"If it came down to it, I'd have to snooze Diego Costa," said Akinfenwa. "There's only one winner if he comes up against me."

Akinfenwa, a self-confessed Liverpool fan, netted against the Reds in last season’s FA Cup and his latest comments should make things interesting if Wimbledon are paired with the champions in round three.
