QPR boss Neil Warnock has challenged Radek Cerny to make the number one shirt his own.

The Czech keeper will resume his role between the sticks denied him after Rangers exited the FA Cup at home to Sheffield United in January when the Hoops visit Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Loan keeper Carl Ikeme has been favoured all the way up to Monday’s disaster at Leicester where Rs lost 4-0, but his recall to Wolves straight after offers Warnock a first look at Cerny.

The clash with Palace takes on an extra significance because at the other end will be Julian Speroni – expected to sign for Rs in the summer.

Warnock said: “It’s a tough game for Raddy to come back to.

“But he and a few others will be wanting to show the new manager what he can do – and we need to get the points as soon as possible that gets us out of trouble.”
