NEIL Warnock praised QPR's battling display despite slipping to defeat at Liverpool.

Luis Suarez bagged the only goal of the game at the beginning of the second-half to seal the points for the Reds.

Boss Warnock said: “I was proud of the team. The goal galvanised us, and many people would've expected us to go down four or five after that.

“But we fought back and Danny Gabbidon, who was excellent, should've scored at the end.”

Warnock reserved special praise for veteran keeper Radek Cerny, who deserved to be on the winning side with an impressive display between the sticks.

He added: “I'm really pleased for Radek. He's a top pro and I never thought he would play in the Premier League again.”
