Boss Mark Warburton could not hide his pride after his Brentford side grabbed all three points at Rotherham this afternoon.

Andre Gray's first half opener and Nick Proschwitz's injury time clincher erased the memories of last season's drubbing at the New York Stadium.

Warburton, who showed his side a DVD of last season's defeat in the run up to the game, was delighted with the way his troops responded.

He said: “They turned us over fair and square last season, but we watched a DVD of that game and there were some good passages of play.

“We knew what they would be all about and it was a magnificent performance today. There was not a bad performance out there from any of our players. The tackling was brave and we worked tirelessly.

“When eight minutes of added time went up there was a danger that we would sit deep and invite them on to us, and it was not easy for us because they get forward quickly in numbers, but we stood up to them to a man across the park.”
