Mark Warburton has ruled out making further additions to his Brentford squad with the loan window still open.

The Bees added Liam Moore to their ranks and have up until March 26 to make any further additions.

But Warburton has poured cold water on these suggestions and believes bringing in a big name from the Premier League will adversely affect his squad .

He said: “We look at our squad. We've got Alan Judge to come back. Lewis Macleod is very close. Sam and Nico are on tight recalls.

Long and the short of it: Everton would recall Chris Long if he wasn't playing

“I see some of the negative comments but if were going to bring in a striker, why'd he come off the Premier League bench to sit on ours.

“We'd upset Andre (Gray) and Everton would recall Long. It'll cost us a fortune to get a Premier League player to come in.

“We've got a pay structure and it's the right thing to do. There's a reason why certain things are done or not done.”

Marcos Tebar is available for loan after not appearing for the Bees since September.
