Mark Warburton has backed Jon Toral to play Premier League football after the Arsenal loanee scored a hat-trick in Brentford FC's 4-0 win over Blackpool .

The Spaniard - who joined Bees on a season-long loan in September - broke the deadlock when he stabbed home on 15 minutes before adding his second two minutes later, nodding home Andre Gray's far post cross.

Lee Clark's Blackpool were then reduced to 10 men when Charles Dunne lunged in on Spanish midfielder Jota just before the break and effectively ended his side's resistance.

Gray grabbed a third after the interval with a deflected low drive and Toral bundled home to keep the match ball with three minutes to go.

He said: “Toral came through the Barcelona academy. He's had a fantastic education.

“I'm delighted to have that relationship with Arsenal and delighted Jon is embracing it.

“He’ll get better and better and I have no doubt Jon will play in the Premier League.

“I met with Arsene recently and he asked me if he’s got the potential to play in the top flight. I’ve got no doubt he has.”
