Fulham enjoyed a 2-0 win over Huddersfield in a game that won't be forgotten by the travelling fans for some time with manager Kit Symons saying it probably was the most bizarre game he was involved in.
Alex Kacaniklic scored direct from a corner in the opening exchanges to give Fulham a 1-0 lead at half-time.
Huddersfield won a penalty as Shaun Hutchinson handled on the goal line. Cauley Woodrow was originally sent off for the offence but, after protests, the match officials corrected their decision with the skipper departing instead.
Nahki Wells, though saw his spot-kick saved by Marcus Bettinelli to keep the Whites in front.
He had another chance to score from the spot after Sean Scannell was brought down in the penalty area but his second effort struck the post with Bettinelli stood still on the goal line.
Jacob Butterfield hit the post but, with Huddersfield pushing bodies further and further forward, Fulham countered with Seko Fofana and he finished at the second attempt to secure the win.
