Sean Kavanagh's first senior goal helped Fulham get back to winning ways against Norwich on Saturday.

The young Irishman fired home midway through the first half to earn the rejuvenated Cottagers a fourth victory in five games.

Lewis Grabban blew the chance to level after the break when he smashed a penalty kick against the bar, while Josh Murphy was also denied by the woodwork.

Fulham caretaker boss Kit Symons praised his team's battling qualities and reserved special praise for his match-winner.

He said: "Sean’s a player I know very well from the 18s and the Under-21s and I wouldn’t wish that ball to fall to anyone other than him. He’s got a wonderful left foot."
