Gutsy Brentford survived a second-half Cardiff City fightback to move up to third in the Championship table.

Alex Pritchard, Andre Gray and Jota put the Bees in the driving seat but they had to survive City throwing the kitchen sink at them after the interval.

Bees boss Mark Warburton believes the win was just another example of why his team are flying high at the right end of the standings.

He said: "We deserve to be where we are, we have been delivering good performances.

"At half-time we told the players an onslaught was coming and we could have kept things tighter, but we saw it out.

"Everyone sees us as honest and committed and that is great for us.

"It means we can go about our business and hopefully in May we will be in good shape."
