Fulham crashed to their third defeat in the row as they went down 1-0 against Cardiff on Saturday.
Sean Morrison headed in from Aron Gunnarsson's long throw to give the Bluebirds the points and inflict more misery on Kit Symons' side.
The Cottagers languish down in 18th spot, a massive 13 points off the play-off places and just five clear of the drop zone.
Symons said: “You look at most clubs in the Championship and they have little spells where things don’t go so well.
“I think I need to understand that, I’m not happy about it, but it was probably pretty much inevitable that at some stage we were going to get a spell where we have a few defeats on the spin, you’ve got to try to make sure that doesn’t escalate."
