Brentford were held to a goalless draw at Oldham to slip six points behind Wolves at the top of League One on Saturday.

The Bees lost ground on the leaders but a point against the Latics saw them consolidate their advantage over Leyton Orient, who were beaten by Bradford.

Sub Stuart Dallas missed the visitors' best chance when he was denied by Oldham keeper Paul Rachubka late on as it ended goalless.

Brentford let their standards slip in the first-half at Boundary Park, according to manager Mark Warburton.

He said: “The performance in the first-half wasn’t good enough. It was a better second-half but the first-half wasn’t good enough.

"The players know that, they will admit that and we all know we have to improve."
