Adam Barrett earned a point at Whaddon Road as AFC Wimbledon shared the spoils with Cheltenham Town.

Matty Taylor had broken the deadlock inside the opening 10 minutes but the Dons hit back through on-loan Gillingham defender Barrett.

They might even have had all three points had Bayo Akinfenwa have managed to find the net with a handful of second-half chances.

Boss Neal Ardley said: “It is a good point, it was a resilient point. We didn't want to be sloppy at the back. Everyone should be pleased with how we have played.

“We were disappointed that we didn't win the game. They edged the first half and they caused us one or two problems and we didn't solve them."
