AFC Wimbledon were held to a frustrating goalless draw against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Jack Midson in particular will wonder how he failed to break the deadlock, having put in a good shift and gone close several times to finding a way through.

Dons boss Neal Ardley feels his strikers need to be a bit braver to cash in on spells of dominance.

He said: “At times it was a lack of composure, but with 33 crosses, I've asked if we're doing enough to get on the end of them.

“Are we brave enough? Do we throw ourselves across centre backs enough?

“I said to the forwards they won't out-jump centre halves in this league. They'll have to be on the move, running across them and getting a knee, a head a shoulder to it."
