Jonathan Douglas earned Brentford a point at Portman Road as the Bees stayed just ahead of hosts Ipswich in the race for the Championship play-offs this afternoon.

Daryl Murphy gave the Tractor Boys the lead with his 22nd of the season but the Bees hauled themselves back into the game to keep pushing for the Premier League.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton said: “Everybody seems to think we're happy to get the point, but I don't see it like that. They started hard and fast but until we conceded we were on top, and it was important we got a quick equaliser.

“We only have one more game against a top eight side, but there is no such thing as an easy run in, and there will be points dropped. Derby dropped two when they conceded two late goals today.

“But we have guys out there who know how to win and have won promotions. Jota did last season, as did Liam Moore with Leicester, and Tommy Smith with Cardiff a couple of years ago, and that can only help us.”
