Brentford were promoted to the Championship after Alan Judge's first-half penalty earned them victory over Preston on Friday.

The Irishman held his nerve from the spot to fire the Bees into the second tier for the first time since 1993 after rivals Leyton Orient and Rotherham both slipped up.

Judge says scoring the goal to send Brentford into the Championship is the highlight of his career.

"When I came here I just wanted to play games and try to contribute in some way, so to score the goal that got us promoted is unbelievable," said the on-loan Blackburn man.

"It was the best moment of my career. I've captained Ireland at Under-21 level, which was a great honour, but to get a club promoted is great."
