Hayes & Yeading have invited eight players back from open trials and are set to offer deals to two bright young prospects.

Teenage defender Connor Butler, a centre-back from Harefield who impressed in a Middlesex Cup tie against Hayes & Yeading in December, is expected to sign.

Former Celtic and Crystal Palace prospect Rhys Murrell-Williamson is the other trialist who will be offered terms for next season.

Hayes & Yeading officials have also spoken to three members of last year’s squad about returning to wear the red shirt again.

Adam Everitt and Jack Mills have been sounded out and club sources say the initial signs are positive they will all commit for 2014-15.

Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz, last season's goalkeeper, will continue as number one.

United would like to keep hold of Frankie Merrifield, but the former AFC Wimbledon midfielder is hoping to trial at other clubs during pre-season.
