Brentford youngster Tom Field looks increasingly likely to secure a loan move to Oxford United.

The 20-year-old became a first team regular in December last year, but made his debut against Fulham in April 2016.

He went on to make 16 appearances for the West London side, scoring one goal.

It's thought that Dean Smith holds the left-back in high regard, but has put added emphasis on the youngster gaining regular first team action, something which will be unlikely at Griffin Park as the Bees look to mount a challenge to reach the play-offs.

The opportunity to move to League One side Oxford United would allow Field to really make his mark in the Football League.
