Damiano Tommasi made a strong claim for a starting place in the next QPR Championship game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday week after the 34-year-old midfielder came through a second reserve game yesterday with flying colours.
Rangers lost 3-2 at home to Southampton, in a game that saw Matt Connolly also get a run.
But boss Iain Dowie was more than happy with the performance of former Italian international Tommasi, and is set to add him to the squad to face Forest.
