Thibaut Courtois has been ruled out of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Hull City tomorrow.

Courtois picked up a minor muscle injury during a training session at Cobham this week and is unable to play any part against the Tigers.

Petr Cech will take possession of the gloves with veteran Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer to take his place on the bench as backup.

First Premier League start: Chelsea's Petr Cech

“Courtois had a problem in training, a muscular problem, and he’s not available for tomorrow. It’s a minor problem,” Mourinho said.

“[It is] a chance for Petr [Cech] and a chance for Mark [Schwarzer] to be on the bench, so I’m more than comfortable with it.”

Cesc Fabregas will also miss the match after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in the defeat to Newcastle.

In the squad: John Terry and Mark Schwarzer

“He doesn’t play,” Mourinho added. “He obviously has been amazing for us and is playing fantastically well but he’s suspended for tomorrow so we don’t think about him.”

Nemanja Matic returns from his domestic ban, served against the Magpies last weekend.
