Harrow maintained their dominance over Horsham on Tuesday night to book their place in the last four of the League Cup.
Goals from Gary Noel (2) and substitutes Dewayne Clarke and Miles Jones eased the Earlsmead side to their 10th win in 14 matches against the men in yellow and green.
Horsham have not beaten Harrow on their own turf since 1968 and three second-half goals saw that barren run continue. By sheer coincidence Harrow boss David Howell selected an all-black side for the first time during his long reign at the club.
Goalkeeper Andray Baptiste was protected by a four-man defence of Kai Williams, Wayne Walters, Simon Dahl and Lee Hall, the midfield quintet consisted of Kwasi Frempong, Dorian Smith, James Fraser and wide men Jonathan Constant and Warren Whitely, while Gary Noel led the attack on his own.
"It's the first time I've picked an all-black side that I'm aware of," admitted Howell, who was the first black captain of the England National Game XI, now the England C team. "Miles Jones, Dewayne Clarke and Jerome Hall all came on and the only two white guys in the side, goalkeeper Richard McCabe and Danny Leech, were left on the bench. You could almost accuse me of being racist!" he added, tongue in cheek.
Whatever the creed and colour, his new-look side did not let him down. Noel's tireless display earned him the only goal of the first half after 15 minutes before Alex Haddow levelled for Horsham shortly after the interval.
Noel soon fired the hosts back ahead before Constant and Whitely made way for Jones and Clarke, and the double change broke up Horsham's momentum.
Clarke made it 3-1 after latching on to a superb pass by Smith before Jones wrapped things up ten minutes from time.
