Sub-striker Wayne Harvey came off the bench to bag a double and win the game for Hounslow Wanderers on Saturday.
And in doing so, he sent a firm message to gaffer Vipon Mair, who had left Harvey out to try out a new forward line.
Wanderers found themselves 1-0 down to Harrow St Mary's at half-time of their Middlesex County League Division One clash when Harvey was thrown into the fray.
The equaliser came when man-of-the-match Rob Howard chased a lost cause, out-muscled a Harrow player and beat the goalie to the ball to set up Harvey.
And Howard teed up the winner for Harvey too, turning the Harrow centre-back inside out on the right before sending over a fine cross for Harvey.
It was the perfect response to having their 100 per cent record ended by North Kensington last week, and sent Wanderers to the top of the table.
