Good afternoon and welcome back to Championship action!
We're in the north-east as QPR look to get back to winning ways against recently-relegated Sunderland.
The Hoops will be determined to get back to winning ways after a run of five games without a league victory.
The Black Cats are on a poor run themselves, sitting in 23rd position in the Championship after failing to adjust to life in the second-tier following relegation from the Premier League.
Both sides need a victory, and hopefully the match will show exactly that.

I hope QPR don’t regret not capitalising on the hostility of the crowd. Things seemed to have turned as the home side are now on the front foot.

Ryan Manning and Idrissa Sylla have been outstanding.
Early signs of the SoL crowd turning and if QPR can take control of the second half you could easily see the atmosphere turning very hostile very quickly.

QPR make the pressure count as Sylla capitalises on a crowded six-yard box from the corner and heads home.

Both sides have had chances to take the lead, and I can’t help but feel that first goal could be crucial in this one.

A fantastic tackle, turn and run from Watmore sets Sunderland on their way before a perfectly placed pass in behind finds George Honeyman who puts his effort wide.
QPR looking bright here.
They look hungry and energetic, with Sylla creating a chance out of nothing as he pressures a slow Sunderland defence.

Sunderland combining well in midfield there, only to be blocked by a crunching tackle by Scowen.
Work ethic
QPR’s worth ethic is causing Sunderland all-sorts of issues as Manning and then Sylla gave the defenders no time on the ball, almost leading to an opening.

Bryan Oviedo picked up the ball from 30 yards, with no options he decided to have a go and his low bobbling effort just went wide of the post.

Sylla is down after a clash of heads. He looks in some pain but he’s on his feet which is always good to see

QPR looking to pose a threat, with Wszolek and Freeman combining to get the ball in the box.
A resulting throw nearly leads Sylla to head past the flailing Jason Steele.

A promising opening for QPR. Manning causing problems down the left as the Hoops look to maximise the space.

Smithies to the rescue!
A great ball in from McGeady found George Honeyman who fired a vicious effort at goal only for Smithies to deny him with a diving save.

Ryan Manning is doing an excellent job of causing problems down the left. His running and cross in leads to another QPR corner.

A ball in from the right just evades the head of the returning Duncan Watmore.

Luongo sprays the ball out to Manning on the left, who puts in an excellent cross which is cleared for a corner.
